It appears that some of the dead skin around the leg is coming off and new skin is underneath it. The dead skin in this area gets soft and mushy and sometimes sticks to the bandage when it is removed. This is happening only a very tiny bit at a time over the past week. I think a little more will be coming off too because it is also soft and I can tell new skin is under it too, but it isn't ready to come off yet.
Ziggy has been doing wonderfully. He seems to be
acting just like his old self again. He plays sometimes and he
enjoys going outside. He scratches his claws on his logs. He is
climbing up to his window ledge again and washing and sleeping
there sometimes. He is doing great!! ..will try to continue
update at least once a week.
