Phil got a bale of straw at Walmart to mulch
over our outside plants this winter.
He made Ziggy a straw box and Ziggy loves it. He makes himself a
nest in it and goes to sleep.
It smells nice and fresh.

Something tells me that when we're not outside,
another cat has been sneaking over onto Ziggy's territory.
And here is the culprit, in the picture below. I circled him to
make it easier to see.

They stared at each other for a while and then
the white cat ran under our vehicles and Ziggy took off after him
to chase him back home again.
He made loud scary fierce growl sounds I haven't heard him make
in a long time! The white cat never made a peep!
I've had no problem with his bandage sticking in recent weeks, it slips right off. The scab has dried and there is no more oozing part around where it had stuck that one time.

Ziggy had a good time outside for several hours today. Went all around the outside of the house then up into the woods and spent some time on a big tree that had fallen over. Even when he is inside I notice he spends less time sleeping and more time awake. Maybe he is sleeping more at night. I'm not sure but it seems he has a lot of energy and wants to stay outside a long long time!

I took off his bandage today and didn't put on a new one for about a 1/2 hr. He wanted to wash his leg and I let him wash for about 10 minutes, he kept washing around the area of good skin. Then I noticed after that it started to get irritated and red from so much washing so I put a new bandage on to keep him from washing it anymore.
He played inside a lot and stomped on his catnip mouse. I can't find his yellow birdie, I'm not sure where it's at I haven't been able to find it so I can't say Stomp your birdie, but he stomped on his mouse instead just like he used to do to his birdie!
Ziggy always stops to smell the flowers...

Note: Ziggy is doing as great as ever!
